Which Towbar is best for my VW Transporter? We offer both the fixed flange towbar and the detachable swan neck towbar for the Transporter. Depending on your towbar preferences, each style has its own benefits. The detachable Towbar is a favourite for those who prefer to remove the Towbar once towing has been completed. This swan neck style of Towbar will protect the vehicle’s aesthetics, as once the neck of the Towbar is removed, the rest of the bar appears almost invisible. The fixed flange style is a great option if you add towing accessories such as a bolt-on cycle carrier. Although this type of Towbar is not recommended for any vehicle with parking sensors. Will it need a bumper cut? When fitting a towbar to the Transporter, there are no bumper modifications required; however, if your Transporter has non-standard bumper trims, there may need to be an incision made during fitment.
