Will a TentBox Work with My Vehicle?

TentBox models are compatible with almost all vehicles, with exceptions such as convertibles and Smart cars. All you need is a suitable set of roof bars, which are available for nearly every vehicle. Our team is always available to help you choose the right setup.

Is a TentBox Easy to Install?

Yes. Installation typically takes no longer than 30 minutes. You’ll need roof bars and an extra pair of hands to lift the TentBox onto the vehicle. Once in place, installation involves sliding in brackets and tightening eight fixings.

TentBox vs Ground Tent – What’s the Difference?

A TentBox is more like a sleeping pod than a traditional tent. You can camp anywhere you can park, even on hard surfaces. Setup is extremely fast, a mattress is included, and bedding can often be left inside while driving.

Being elevated provides better insulation, protection from wet ground and insects, and stunning elevated views.

Is a TentBox Warm and Weatherproof?

Can One Person Use a TentBox?

Absolutely. All TentBox models are designed for easy one-person operation. An optional step ladder can be helpful for shorter users when closing the tent. Two people are only required during the initial installation.

Can a TentBox Stay on My Car All Year?

Yes. TentBoxes are designed for year-round use. If preferred, they can also be removed and stored on their side in a cool, dry place—just ensure the tent is fully dry before storage.

Protecting Your TentBox

Lite & Lite XL Models

All Lite models include a travel cover secured with either velcro or a zip, depending on the generation. Newer zip-secured covers offer improved durability and protection.

Classic Model

The TentBox Classic features a highly water-resistant ABS shell, offering excellent protection in all conditions.

Cargo Model

The TentBox Cargo is constructed from durable aluminium with stainless steel fixings, making it ideal for permanent installation and long-term use.
