All Smart models are fitted with advanced CAN bus wiring systems, allowing the vehicle’s electronic systems to communicate seamlessly.

This extends to towbar wiring, enabling built-in safety features such as Trailer Stability Control to function correctly when towing a trailer or caravan.

For this reason, we always fit vehicle-specific wiring as standard.

Dedicated wiring ensures all safety systems operate as the manufacturer intended. Aftermarket universal wiring would not activate these features, making it unsuitable for Smart vehicles.
